Gardening for Beginners
This is the first in a series of special instructional videos for novice gardeners hoping to to grow some vegetables this year. In this video we look at:

The Sun: 01:54 Consider how much sun you get and what that means for what you can grow.

The Ground: 04:16 We discuss the condition of the ground and how to improve soil.

Competition: 06:00 What else is growing there and why you should clear weeds thoroughly before you begin.

The Frost: 07:10 Timing everything to give it the best chance of surviving the thriving.

Grass: 08:40 What you should do if you want to make beds where there is currently grass
No Dig Gardening: 09:17
Dig: 11:13

Given the uncertainty of the coronavirus, the gardening will be tailored to take into account the latest public safety and health advice. I’ll take you through my process from scratch, week by week. It will mostly be small space container gardening. But I’ll keep you updated with what you should be doing to get a good veg harvest this summer, no matter the size of your growing space.

If we all do a wee bit to help ourselves and each other, we can hopefully come through the other side together.
