Plant a Flower Garden- Replace Your Backyard Lawn

This video describes how I transformed my backyard into a secret garden in one season using the lasagna gardening technique. Without having to remove the grass, I covered the grass with three layers: paper/cardboard, garden soil (containing compost, peat and topsoil) and finally, mulch. I designed my secret garden to include a dry creek bed, stone pathways and perennials. Barely four months after I began the process, my backyard is now a colorful, tranquil flower garden.
