This is part 3 of 4 for my, “Winter is Coming 2018-moving the plants in” series.
I had someone ask for me to do a step-by-step video on setting up my grow room. This is more of an overview because the majority of the setup was done years ago so there isn’t much to do for video that shows the grow room being put together. I built this area up over the years to hold in heat and humidity but i forgot to mention that there are circulation fans installed as well, air flow is important for many of the plants I grow and it helps to even the temperatures also. I have been growing a variety of tropical (and subtropical) plants in here during my winters for many years and the plants do very well. A short list of some of the plants I keep in here include:
Adonidia palm
Spindle Palm
Pygmy Date Palm
Washingtonia Palm
Sago Palm
Pothos-Marble Queen, Neon pothos and Gold pothos
Anthurium
Heliconia
Ginger
Banana trees
Colocasias
Alocasias
Monstera
Philodendron
Bromeliads
Cactus & Succulents
Hibiscus
Dracaena
Many Orchids
