Hey its the Ginger gardener. In this video, I show you how to plant lily bulbs. I will be planting lily bulbs in a pot.
The best time to plant lily bulbs is from early autumn to mid spring. Lily bulbs can be planted in pots, or straight into the ground. Place a 1-2 inch layer of drainage material, such as crocks or small stones, in the base of pots before beginning to fill with potting compost. The bulbs should be planted with their hair-like roots facing down and the pointed tip of the bulb pointing upwards. Try to ensure the compost is moist at all times.
