No deer but other garden pests make growing vegetables far from easy.. You can grow virtually any vegetables in California, but you need to think about watering your vegetables, and garden pests when growing vegetables in Northern California as there are many things that will eat them before you do!
So far I’ve planted tomatoes, sweet potatoes,olives!, cherries,squash, chilis, melon, beans, peppers, strawberries and cucumbers. Some with more sucess than others as while deer are no longer a pest plentty of other things are attacking my vegetables.
