Vertical gardening ideas are the way to go when one is short on space and is also fighting for light .
We changed our window box grills tops from tin to acrylic to allow for more light filtering in and it has worked well for our west facing growing spaces especially for house plants that enjoy filtered light .
Our steel clothes line is now used to hang pots with plants , easy to slide across and move around and using a very light non soil potting mix makes all of this easy to do and follow through .
Hope you like the ideas I have tried to use for our west facing space which gets practically no sun . Edibles cannot be grown in these spaces and hence I am experimenting with pothos varieties , syngoniums and a few succulents that have managed to survive in Mumbai .
